RT-AC67U and RT-AC86 in AiMesh

Hey, writing with the following problem.

I have two RT-AC86U routers with Marlin software that work great with AiMesh. Today I bought a RT-AC67U router. I didn't know that marlin doesn't support it however I read that you can install software designed for AC68u on it. The update was successful however the problem occurs when trying to add the AC67u as another Mesh node. It finds it however when trying to add web/mobile it pops up an error that it cannot be connected.
I have currently set it up in repeater mode but I must admit I am not entirely happy with this option.
Is there any solution to my problem or do I unfortunately have to buy another router?

Try adding the node with wired connection. It will fail back to wireless after. Known issue.
