RT-AC68P aicloud issue

Furcifer

New Around Here
Ok, I have been trying to setup this aicloud all night. All attempts to get it to work with the android app or connect via https has been fruitless. I am not port forwarding 443.

When I try and connect through the app it asks for router login name and router login password, when I enter the info a black box with retry or skip pops up. When I try and access the https://*username*.asuscomm.com it states "web page not available". I can access ftp://*hostname*.asuscomm.com. One odd thing that I have discovered is that when I type in http://*hostname*.asuscomm.com it will take me to the router administration login screen. I verified that administration>system>Enable Web Access from WAN> checked no. So I am not sure why it is allowing me to access the router administration page from http://*hostname*.asuscomm.com.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What firmware version?

Make sure you are connected over 3G/4G. Using the DDNS hostname from within your LAN might have issues.

I have attempted to access from within the network and also from a friends computer down next door. From my understanding to setup the app, you have to be connected to the network initially. I have tried to setup the app on 4g, but it states "Network cannot be found" when setting up the app.

If I were to do a factory restore, does it restore it to the ASUS stock firmware or will it restore it to the Merlin firmware?

I just completed a factory restore to be sure I had all settings correct.
I checked all of my settings.

I did a factory restore and it restored to the ASUSwrt-Merlin 378.52. I entered all of the settings and still nothing.
I did an update firmware to ASUSwrt-Merlin 378.52 and re-enetered all of the settings and still all attempts were fruitless using https and app.

I updated to the latest ASUS-wrt firmware (3.0.0.4.378_4585) and it worked!! It also would not allow me to access the router administration by using http://*hostname*.asuscomm.com
