RT-AC68U Client List Issues (Merlin 380.65_4)

New Around Here
I have an odd issue that cropped up a few firmware versions ago. When the router is first rebooted the client list works fine, whether it is the popup version using the "View List" button or the embedded one by clicking on the clients icon. However, after a period of time (haven't narrowed down just how long it takes) the "View List" button stops working and the embedded client list is just shown as completely empty. Also, if I look at debugging output in the browser's developer mode (regardless of Chrome or Firefox) it shows various scripting errors, but those errors are NOT present right after a reboot.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Every single other thing about the router works properly, OpenVPN client and server, firewall, NAT and port forwarding, DHCP reservations, etc.

Oh, wait, there is one other oddity, when the client list stops working -- if I navigate to LAN -> DHCP Server my list of reservations (manually assigned IP addresses) is completely blank. However, after reboot, all my DHCP reservations are listed there and regardless of this display issue the reservations ARE working, just not visible or able to be edited without a reboot. This page also shows scripting errors, both pages actually show errors in the same javascript file - "client_functions.js".

Thanks,
Az

You probably have a client with an invalid name. Check the browser console for more info as to what is causing your display to fail.

It took a bit of digging into the debug code, but I found that a Roku-enabled TV that was on the WiFi was sending an empty network name. You would think that NMAP would be able to handle it in some way, substituting the MAC address in the event of no name, etc. but apparently it does not.

Once I hard-coded an alias for that device (a bit tricky when it messes up the main places you CAN give a device a static name and/or DHCP reservation) it seemed to clear up the issue with the web interface.
