RT-AC68U - Intermittent slow down - internet

New Around Here
Hello all,
I have a tm-ac1900, downgraded bootloader to Asus 1.0.20 and flashed merlin's latest firmware 378.52.2
I've already cleared nv ram and restore to factory settings. I have time warner cable, 15mb down and 1mb upload, using a motorola sb6141. I'm experiencing slow downs with my connection. For example when downloading on torrent, I would hit 1.5mb/sec up to 1.8mb/sec via desktop wifi 5ghz. I then go on my macbook pro to load webpages "yahoo.com" for example and it would take a while to load while at the same time the torrent running on my desktop would drop to as low as 100kb/sec. I've ran speed tests and it does exactly the same thing. I'd get 15mb-16mb download and 1mb upload on macbook. then try running the test on desktop internet will slow down. Same effect while playing ps4 games over lan connection. Any suggestions? I did not mess with any of the settings, the only thing i changed is wifi ssid and password as well as admin password after restoring to factory default. I tried merlin fork and it seemed relatviley more stable holding the internet connection.

Try Adaptive QoS enable. Prioritize your traffic to see if it works better.
thanks for trying to help buddy! I had oceanic time warner cable to come check out if my signal was bad. turns out everything was fine. Signal was excellent. Isolated the problem to my fiance's apple macbook pro. We checked activity monitor and isolated to apple icloud sending constant packets causing the high ping when the macbook pro connects to the wifi. Everything runs great now. Merlin firmware is stable! Solid connection!!!
