I have 2x RT-AC68U running in a mesh. The main router appears to have CPU1 stuck at 100% usage:

When I SSH in and use the top command I can see it's the wred process:

This is after only 2 days of uptime (my router auto reboots every 2 days).

I am running firmware 386.5_2 and I can't upgrade the firmware as anything past 386.7 causes my router to go OOM after only a few hours (I've posted about this before).
Almost everything is disabled on the router and HW acceleration is on. No custom stuff, no swap.

Any ideas?

I've seen this CPU situation when there's a flash memory CRC error... any process that uses /jffs will hang. Mine was caused by the overclock I was doing using the clkfreq nvram variable.

Go to /jffs and do a ls -lR and if freezes, you have a hardware issue. You'll also likely see an event in syslog, if you can get to it (the longer it sits in this state, the worse it gets, until it freezes).

If not, ignore this post.
