Quick overview of my set-up.
I have an RT-AC68U as an access point, an RT-AC66U as a bridge on the main floor of our home to directly connect the tv, laptop, wireless camera and bluray via AC at 1300 rates.

I also use a USB-N66 adapter on my home theatre pc which is located downstairs, directly across from my AC68U broadcast point. It connects at full 450 rate and approx 60db using a 5Ghz signal.

I get aroung 7.5 MB/s upload speed using the USB-N66 to my NAS.

I had some large uploading to do after changing a drive on my NAS, so I decided the fastest solution using wireless was to relocate the AC66U at my htpc to upload several TB of files.

It connected at around 42db, getting between 1100 and 1300 rate, however when I was uploading my files I achieved a 9.5 average MB/s speed.

If I upload directly from a computer to my NAS, it uploads around 15MB/s.

I am somewhat disappointed at the AC performance, pleased with the N900 performance.

Has anyone else compared these 2 ASUS products?
Should I be anticipating better performance from My AC66U?
Should I be looking to use a second AC68U as a bridge rather than the AC66U?
