RT-AC68U VPN speed + can I configure specific Lan ports and wifi just for VPN?

I need to replace my Linksys e4200 v1.

1.I have the need to manage two networks, devices on my network that will connect to VPN and others that will just use my default ISP connection. I believe I read the Asus RT-AC68U can do that out of the box? I've been doing it now on my Linksys but not easily, need to manage it with scripts on my router, it's not pretty. Can the Asus with or without Merlin do this for me?

2. Can anyone confirm if I'll be able to achieve full 25Mbit speeds with encrypted openvpn using Merlin? This is at router level setup, I'm not taking about the Windows client setup that my provider (PIA) provides.

For your second question. I'm also on PIA. RT-AC68R....overclocked to 1200,800. Base service is 50 Mbs down/5 Mbs up. Download ranges from 30Mbs to high 40s depending on time of day and server. Upload from mid 4s to high 6s.

Is there any negative to over clocking? Will that result in more reboots, random issues or increased heat, requiring better ventilation?

From the reading I did, nearly all AC68s can be overclocked to those speeds. It does generate quite a bit more heat though. Without additional cooling, I was running about 85C. I found a 'laptop' cooler that works great set vertically behind the router, and my temps are now about 65C. Haven't had any reboot or other issues with this setup.
