Hi,

Currently on 3.0.0.4.382_50702 f/w. The feedback doesn't go through. It errors out with this message

The system failed to connect to the mail server(possibly caused by your ISP blocked SMTP port 25

I don't see the Asus mail server listening on 25. So it wouldn't work unless they update the port in the f/w.

Has it worked for anyone?

Thanks

there should be an instruction after a fail, just send it via email that you have

just copy paste the log and email to the address provided
router_feedback@asus.com is what is given from ac3100, assuming they are the same for all router

Well, that doesn't help since there won't be any logs that you could send along unless you copy them manually off the router cli. I think they need to change the port in the f/w to get the "feedback" function working.

well, they are introducing ability to send feedback via gmail, or at least I remember reading it somewhere.

When it fail, in addition to the email address to mail to, it also provides a log of the hardware, not that difficult to copy paste.
And it's not that difficult to save the system log and attach.

I actually prefer to send it via email anyway so that I can include additional attachment/link to video to further explain what I am experiencing.

I dont mind they also include a button to simply generate the report and let me copy paste stuff so I dont have to waste time to wait for sending the feedback.

Yeah but unfortunately that log isn't very extensive and if I were to copy/paste each log to attach, that defeats the purpose of having a feedback system :)

Also they never respond when I emailed them... it's probably going to /dev/null

your button to generate a report & copy/paste is a great idea.

FYI - I was able to submit a feedback, I just used a VPN client in the router to bypass ISP restriction.
