RT-AC88U IPSEC VPN and windows 10

Hi There

i am struggling to get the IPSEC VPN to work under windows 10, works perfect with my Iphone but i cannot for the life of me get it to connect under windows and is the first time i've struggled with something like this

when i try and connect it always ends up with error (dialed a connection named home which has failed. The error code returned on failure is 789)

anyone successfully connected with win 10 and if so how?

It's working for me under Windows 10.

You need to use the Shrewsoft VPN client as outlined in the FAQ that RMerlin posted. Using the native Windows 10 client doesn't seem to be working. I think because of the lack of configurability of the client when compared to the changes you need to make to the Shrewsoft client in order for the connection to work. I haven't yet found a way to change those similar settings in the Windows 10 client.

Have you not found another solution? The latest release of the program from Shrew is from Jul 01 2013, very old
Should it work in some way in Windows 10? (Just like with APple and Android)

Its working on win7 and win10 x64 both with Shrew soft, tested, just follow instructions RMerlin posted.
The downside is that every 2 hours connection get disconnect its probably some option in the client.
