Has anyone had any luck with IPTV on the BE88U, specifically BT TV (EE TV) in the UK?
I had it working on my AX88U Pro and have tried the same settings on the BE88U with both stock 3.0.0.6.102_33928 and Merlin's 3006.102.2-beta1. The STB connects to the internet but chucks a multicast error when trying to watch 'live' streamed TV.

Settings:
WAN
Enable VPN + DHCP Connection = no
LAN > IPTV
Select ISP Profile = none
Choose IPTV STB Port = none
Use DHCP routes = Microsoft or RFC3442 & Microsoft
Default IGMP version = IGMP v3
Enable Fast Leave = disable
UDP Proxy (Udpxy) = 0

STB is cabled to LAN4. Also tried LAN1 and wireless.

Currently I've had to go back to using the ISP supplied modem.
I have FTTP so the ONT should be dealing with any VLAN ID stuff

I've raised a ticket with Asus re this. I've submitted feedback from both my AX88U Pro running 3.0.0.4 and 3.0.0.6 firmware and from my BE88U on 3.0.0.6 firmware.

It seems this problem has come in with 3.0.0.6 since the AX88U Pro works fine on 3.0.0.4 but not on 3.0.0.6.

I know very little about this but I assume it must relate to the implementation of SND? I know the LAN>IPTV settings are simplified VLAN settings. Is it possible I need to set this up differently now?

And advice would be welcomed

Thanks

From what I can gather, this shows the multicast is being received by eth0 but it's not going to eth4 or anywhere else

Code:
admin@router:/tmp/home/root# ip mroute show
(0.0.0.0,239.255.3.22) Iif: eth0 Oifs: eth0 br0 State: resolved
(0.0.0.0,234.81.130.251) Iif: eth0 Oifs: eth0 br0 State: resolved
(0.0.0.0,234.81.132.218) Iif: eth0 Oifs: eth0 br0 State: resolved

And this shows IGMP proxy isn't running

Code:
admin@router:/tmp/home/root# ps | grep igmpproxy
 4806 admin 5976 S grep igmpproxy

If you've had the BT TV or EE TV set up with either a BT or EE router, reset the TV box, try again and usually the multicast issues will go away, along with the need for any IP-TV settings. BT/EE do like to play with this stuff though!

Thanks for your reply.
I initially came straight from a setup with an AX88U Pro connected direct to the Openreach ONT and IPTV was working.
I've read on the BT forums about resetting the BT TV box and I've tried that a number of times but no joy I'm afraid..
I'm 90% sure this relates to the 3.0.0.6 and SND. Trying to understand what but it's slow going as I have very little clue ..
