Have you tried the .151

I have the .128 which is lightening fast and has the 64 kb NVRAM if you want it pm me I can email it to you.

Let us know about the .151....

.151 has the NVRAM fix

admin@RT-N66U:/tmp/home/root# nvram show >/dev/null
size: 30503 bytes (35033 left)

installed

Installed the .151

Lightning fast (even faster transfer speeds than .128)Fastest wifi transfers I have ever had

IPV6 works perfectly

DHCP reservation working fine

Client list populates almost instantly

I do not use QOS s cant comment on that, everything else looks good.

Examining the web pages, I see they added support for www.tunnelbroker.net on the DDNS page. Nice.

Can you try this:

download a big file locally over wireless.

then turn on QoS (nothing else to do, just toggle the switch)

Redo the transfer and report the speed difference.

Thanks !

I concur! .151 is lightning fast. I have regained lost bandwidth on 5Ghz . I get 300mbps constant link throughout my 1200 SQFT house.

.151 is fast

I can second that.

with .151 @2.4GHz i get aprox 80Mb download tested with Speedtest.net

and @5GHz i get aprox 100Mb download tested with Speedtest.net

Ping times seems to be overall a little better too.

My 5GHz is cleaner than my 2.4GHz

So far this is a better experience than the .144 where i had some Upnp issues - testing that now.

Updated- uPnP seems to work now too!

Qos test

OK I think I see how to set the QOS to work now.
Test with Bandwidth monitor d/l 2 gb file wirelessly from server.

NO QOS:
d/l speed 165 mbps

With QOS: set at my intrernet speed 1.2 mb u/l 12 mb d/l
d/l speed 52 mbps

With QOS: SET SPEEDS AT 200 mb u/l 200 mb d/l
d/l speed 165 mbps

With QOS: SET SPEEDS AT 450 mb u/l 450 mb d/l
d/l speed 165 mbps

The trick is to set the QOS speeds NOT to your internet speed but the potential router transfer speed (In my case I can set to 450)

Bottom line it works with QOS enabled!

You realize that doing so pretty much make QoS useless, since it relies on those two values to properly manage bandwidth? Might as well disable QoS, it would have the same result.

Howdy,
I have downloaded and installed this 3.0.0.3.151 build.

Installed without problems. Reconfigured router like new out of the box. The overall experience is, FAST. The entire webgui experience is snappy. The client listing is there and correct. The setting static ip (reserved) addresses working much better.

I have wired computers, 2.4ghz wifi products and 5ghz wifi products. These are working good here.

Do not know;
no vpn use here
no dual wan use here
no apple products here

151 firmware working here

Is 00.151 a beta release or official FW release ? Shold I install or wait for next official release . I see nothing on Asis site about .151

QoS still in the woods .151

When i set the QoS to 10Mb upstream it also affects my Lan to Lan traffic.

So unless i have misunderstood the purpose of the QoS it's still not working as expected. I expect it to only affect the WAN connection.

Br, Harvad

151 killed the steaming to my 3 apple TVs on 5GHz in AP mode. Choppy audio even though strong signal. 2.4GHz seems faster though. Sigh.

You wouldn't have written that if you really knew what QOS is... :D
