I'm using a RT-N66U with Merlin 374.43.
I'm connected to the internet through a cable modem "Cisco EPC3928AD EuroDocsis 3.0", provider Ziggo. So the Cisco is connected to the internet, the Asus is connected to the Cisco.

because of a problem with downloading en probably QoS I've placed the Asus in AP mode. This works fine exept for one thing.

The administration Webpage on my Cisco Internet Router, that is also the gateway, is no longer accessible when the Asus is connected to it. Only when the asus is disconnected, I can access the web page, but as soon as I connect the Asus AP, I can't acces the page annymore. Only disconnecting and resetting the Cisco solves this, for about a few minutes (when the ASUS is connected again).

Is this a know problem and can this be resolved?
Thanks for your reply.

If the IP address (likely 192.168.1.1) is the same for both devices, this will happen. Is the IP address the same for both?

The ASUS is accessible through 192.168.178.13 and the Cisco is still inaccessible on 192.168.178.1

When I access two routers on my local network, I have one set to 192.168.1.1 (N66U) and the other to 192.168.1.251 (WRT54G). I access the N66U (192.168.1.1) from https, port 3333-
https://192.168.1.1:3333
and the wrt54g from 192.168.1.241, no port (port 80 and http)
http://192.168.1.241
Not sure if playing around with ports and https will improve access to the GUIs but you could give that a shot?

changing ASUS Authentication Method to https didn't change anything.
And I can't change the Cisco to https.
Problem still continues after a few minutes when the Asus (in AP mode) is connected to the Cisco.

Some extra info.

When the Cisco is reset, the Asus connected, I can still access the web page on the Cisco.
But as sone as I access the web page on the ASUS, the webpage on the Cisco is no longer accessible. On the ASUS I can see the Mac-address and ip-address in the client list, and the ip-address is underlined, but not accessible.
So I gather, that as soon as the ASUS does some "network searching" for network devices, accessing the Cisco web page becomes impossible.

Doesn't sound all to technical, but maybe you can help me with this. Must be something in the ASUS.

thanks,

Similar problem here

I've got the same setup basically, N66U in AP mode.
Problem is not exactly the same as yours but has some similarities.

(Ziggo) 3928 modem with N66U AP running Merlin fork 374.43_2-04j9527. The Cisco webinterface will show up after rebooting Cisco. My N66U is always accessible, but after a while (not sure if there is a pattern here...) the Cisco is not accessible anymore. Not due to using the N66U web interface imho, because the first few hours I can access both at will.

Have you resolved this issue?
