RT-N66U-Merlin- Is it Possible to use router as Repeater & OpenVPN at the same time?

I have an asus rt-n66u here. i'm pretty experienced with DD-WRT and setting up a repeater and an openVPN client on the same router. (Well with my old router, linksys). Is it possible to do the same thing with the Merlin Firmware? I was excited to finally get the repeater working, but then i was dissapointed when the VPN Menu in the Merlin GUI Dissapeared After the Repeater was all done and setup/working. Is there any reason for this? I like the flexibility of DD-WRT, but the internet is just not working on my router. I've tried several different builds. It's critical that i have a repeater and a working openvpn client on the same router running at the same time. If this option is not available in the current Merlin versions, Could someone maybe add it in the .. Possible near future? And if this option is possible... then i'm sorry for wasting time, Would anyone like to point me in the right direction? thanks

VPN functionality is not available while in Repeater mode. It relies on too many features that are only available while in router mode, and changing this would require some major architectural changes, so it's not gonna happen.
