New Around Here
greetings, i've noticed some issues on my rt-n66u running firmware 3.0.0.4.374.35_4 (merlins)

i can't access the GUI using IE 11, even in compatibility mode. firefox works fine. cleaned cookies, logged out of n66u from firefox first, no go.

also, if i set channel bandwidth to 20mhz OR 40mhz, and i select the control channel, changing channels works. if i set the channel bandwidth to 20mhz/40mhz, i can select different channels and apply them in the GUI but when i check what channel i'm on with inSSIDer, i'm always on channel 6! this only happens when channel bandwidth is set to 20/40mhz (p.s, this issue relates to 2.4ghz radio, i haven't tried it in the 5ghz)

try setting the control channel to 'lower' or however it appears in the gui, before changing the wireless channel. also, sometimes mixed mode wifi does things like revert the channel to 'auto', try forcing N only. only use 20mhz on 2.4ghz.

The channel issue is a known issue when set to 20/40 MHz.As far as no access to the ui using internet explorer I use IE 11 and have no problems accessing the router here so must be something else going on over there. Happy Holidays !

thanks for the info. hopefully it will be fixed in the future.

with regards to accessing the rt-n66u GUI with IE 11, the issue was that i was copying and pasting the password into IE. manually entering the password works.

happy holidays as well to you and all!
