Run singlemode partly over OM1 Multimode?

Pello

New Around Here
Is it possible to shoot single mode over a short distance of OM1 62,5/125 multimode fiber? A place I know have a almost 2km (6500ft) long incoming OM1 fiber that is limited to 100Mbps (not likely to get 1Gbps over it, even though some people have got it working... But how long time will it work?), but there is single mode fiber near and it is free OM1 fiber pair between SM1 fiber and router. OM1 fiber is maybe 75 meter (250 ft).

It's possible to get a SM to MM SFP-SFP active media converter adapter but would like to avoid that. Is there a way to send the SM signal over that short distance of OM1 fiber? Is there specific SFP modules and patch cables that is needed? Dont know how long SM fiber, but its likely only a few km long.
