running process as a service

New Around Here
I have a RT-AC68U running asuswrt-merlin 380.59 on which i've also installed entware-ng.

One of the items I am using is ipcad, but I cannot figure out how to run it as a service or at the least have it start automatically after a reboot. I've tried adding it to the services-start file but after any reboot, i still have to manually start ipcad.

i've looked around and can't really find anything other than 'add it to services-start'

Have you tried: "insmod ipcad" without quotas in services-start? Dont forget shebang (#!/bin/sh) on top.
Code:
#!/bin/sh
insmod ipcad

I'm not familar with insmod so no I hadn't tried that. But if the command line to start ipcad requires the config file location, will that work by itself?

If you have in eg /jffs you have to set full path to it.

Code:
#!/bin/sh
insmod /jffs/configs/ipcad

insmod is only for loading kernel modules.

If you have in eg /jffs you have to set full path to it.

Code:
#!/bin/sh
/jffs/configs/ipcad start

Sorry some brain fart...........
