Hi, stumbled upon this dated review when shopping for a VPN router...
Linksys RVS4000: Great features but slow downloads
May I seek some expertise?
1. For the VPN, can I use the native VPN support from Windows 7 to connect to this router WITHOUT any VPN client (i.e. QuickVPN)?
2. Same question above for using native VPN support in Android and iPhone.
3. Same question above (W7, Android and iPhone) for the other Cisco RV0xx routers.
4. Since the review was dated 4 years back and mentioned that downlink throughput was addressed with a firmware upgrade, but any clue what is the performance with the latest firmware now in 2011? Any chance for a re-review?
5. Is it possible to set different subnets for vlans?
6. Add on to Q5 above, can the router support multiple DHCP instances for different vlan subnets?
7. Review did not mention DDNS support but it was documented cisco datasheet, just want to confirm DynDNS is supported?
Thank you in advance for any guidance!
