Samba Active on AIMesh Node

New Around Here
Hi,

I'm running two AC88U's (both with Merlin 384.16) in a router<>node mesh configuration (wired back-haul).

I see the node in my network neighborhood and on the AIMesh node I see samba is running.
/usr/sbin/smbd -D -s /etc/smb.conf

I don't have Samba enabled on the router, and do not know of a way to disable Samba on the node. Perhaps this is left over from when the second AC88 was added as a node (maybe I enabled samba on the second AC88 before it was a node)?

Is there a way to disable Samba on the node, or should I reset the node to defaults and re-add it to the network?

Yes, if you did not do a full reset on the node before adding it, do so now. :)

Well, now I feel dumb ;)

I'm certain I reset to factory defaults using the UI, but know that I didn't use the WPS button on the AC88 (because I needed to look up how to do that) so perhaps there's a difference...

Thanks for the quick reply. I hard reset via the WPS button, and the smbd process is now gone and the node no longer shows up in network neighborhood (of course).

Now I'm thinking that I should do the same on the router when I have time to go through the full manual config...

Thank you @L&LD !
