Samba file sharing to client from router in LAN affected by QOS??

Hi Merlin & Merlin Build users,

I have encountered issues when I tried to access files from USB storage attached to Asus AC68U through Client using Windows 7 under Network share. But when I connect to router using VPN tunneling in both LAN and WAN - accessing the files no issue. My QOS and Firewall is enabled.

But I found out that either I disable the QOS or Firewall, accessing the files in LAN works.

Can you enlighten me why QOS and firewall will cause the samba file sharing through LAN(Network share) unworkable?

Any solution where I can enable QOS and yet get the samba file sharing to work in LAN?
