Samba net rpc calls?

New Around Here
Hi!

I recently switched from the AdvancedTomato firmware to Asuswrt-Merlin. When I used AdvancedTomato I used the Samba net rpc commands to power off/reboot my Windows machine, i.e. I believe I downloaded Samba through opkg or ipkg.

net rpc -shutdown -r -I <ip> -U <user>

Is this possible to do the same on Asuswrt-Merlin? It seems the net rpc command isn't recognized (even after trying to download Samba 3.6 through opkg, tried both the client and the server).

Any help is appreciated!

Looks like the OP of that thread found what they wanted, but you seem to have already tried entware?

Yes, I've seen that thread, and I've installed samba through entware, but the net command is still not found. Not sure if I'm missing some step after the installation?

Yea I just tried too and doesn’t seem like net is included in the samba packages.
Maybe @RMerlin can offer some ideas
