I think it will be the last Samsung drive in the PCIe 4 space. This is a welcome parting gift from Samsung for current systems.

With 55% faster IO and 50% higher power efficiency, this (should be) a great drive for any mobile system.

The 4TB capacity is icing on the cake.

Rather than focusing too much on PCIE 4/5 I personally think people should pay more attention to Random 4K performance at QD1 that’s what you’d most likely notice in day to day use unless you are heavily doing sequential writes which for most people is not common unless using as a scratch disk for video editing or something as an example. I’m gonna wait till it releases to see how it’s stacks up against the competition before I make a judgment. In regard to the NVME controllers the competition seems to be catching up fast if not already looking at Hynix as an example.

Already have 2x 980 Pro 2 TBs so probably not going to be upgrading for a long time lol.
