SDCard in RT-N66U - I void warranties

Hi,

I put an SDCard in my RT-N66U to install optware. Merlin's build doesn't seem to support this. Woul be great if usb_sotrage and ext2 to 4 modules and dependencies could be present on the image. Also, would be nice toexecute optware's etc/init.d scripts (like DD-WRT).

A lot of configurations can't be done with the UI.....

Hi,

As you can see from my footer: I run Merlin's build and I have a SD-Card installedn in my RT-N66U to run Entware (the better Optware)... ;)

What you mean with "Merlin's build doesn't seem to support this."???

With kind regards
Joe

Hmmm seems like I overlooked Entware. Is ext4 supported with Entware?

I am still not sure which firmware to use; I need to find a solution to my problem first (the PPPoE VLAN problem described in another post). I will have to try Entware; it looks like the new OTW2 from DD-WRT.

Many thanks,

The RT-N66U does not support ext4, you must ext2 (preferably for flash) or ext3 (preferably for hard disks).

I have Entware setup on an ext2-formatted SD card on my development RT-N66U, and it's working great.
