secure Backup station for your NAS

  • SNBForums Code of Conduct

SNBForums is a community for everyone, no matter what their level of experience.

Please be tolerant and patient of others, especially newcomers. We are all here to share and learn!

The rules are simple: Be patient, be nice, be helpful or be gone!

Note, your data will be stored unencrypted using this type of service. The only encryption employed is during the transfer over the Net.

If you are a Synology NAS owner planning to use the built in backup solution, be careful where you choose to cloud backup your data. If your backup contains personal/private information, think twice before randomly selecting a vendor.

hello,

your NAS can be stolen, burned or drowned, so make a backup.
http://www.synologybackup.com/ provides pretty good backup services.
In this way you can secure your data.

SynoRon.

You may be completely legitimate, but your web site is using Synology's logos and their name in your product, which does infer that you are connected to Synology in some way

Your Username on this forum is also in the same style that Synology staff use when replying to forum posts

I can see from your contacts page that you state that you are not affiliated with Synology, but because of the use of the Synology name, this information really needs to be at the top of your home page in bold text

Do Synology know that you are using their name and logos? according to their web site their name and logos are covered by copyright

If they don't know, you may have a letter in the post someday telling you to stop using the name

If they do know, then your best bet would be to become affiliated with Synology, so that they themselves can link to your web site from their own

This is just my observation looking at it from a phishing point of view

Yikes.

Maybe moot - even if you dared. Prices are not competitive.

(Maybe moderators should remove this thread as it's a an advert, phishing being TBD).
