Send Torrent Traffic Only over VPN?

I know in the past this wasn't possible via the GUI (I'm running version 380.70), but I'm wondering if the latest versions of Merlin allow sending just torrent traffic over a VPN connection while all other traffic stays as is.

No, because there is no way for the router to track torrent traffic, as it can go to any remote IP address.

Thanks for the quick answer. I was hoping it might have been possible to track traffic by port instead of IP address.

... I would suggest to use a dedicated virtual machine or a NAS and "protect" this specific device with a VPN client ....
