Should I Upgrade from ASUS RT-AC68U to RT-BE58U?

As you know, the beloved ASUS RT-AC68U has officially reached its end-of-life status. While it's been a fantastic router for a decade, it's time to consider a more modern solution.

I'm eyeing the ASUS RT-BE58U as a potential replacement. I'm curious if anyone here has made the switch or has any insights into performance difference between these two routers.

Firmware Support:
- How is the firmware support for the RT-BE58U compared to the 68U (e.g., Merlin)?
- How long can we expect ASUS to support the RT-BE58U with firmware updates and security patches?

Mesh Support:
- How well does the RT-BE58U integrate with other Asus mesh nodes? Is it a seamless experience?

AI Protection and Security Features:
- How do the AI Protection and other security features of the RT-BE58U compare to the RT-AC68U? Are there any significant enhancements?

Mobile Tethering:
- Has anyone tried using the RT-BE58U as a mobile hotspot with both iOS and Android devices? Are both supported?
- How does it work?

Have you read the other countless post asking the same question about support ?
What country are you in ?
As said many times, AiMesh works best with same hardware, same firmware, ethernet backhaul. Sometimes it works acceptably with differences in the above.
