New Around Here
Hi, my read speeds are collapsing over wifi(n) and powerline when read/writing files to NAS. Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening?

Specs

NAS – Synology (110j) – latest firmware
Laptop – Windows 7 (x64)
PC – Windows 7 (x64)
Router – Linksys (wrt610n)
Powerline – Netgear 200 mbps

Lan Speed Test results

Laptop to NAS (Ethernet)
Read – 430 mbps
Write – 253 mbps

-This indicates that the NAS is performing at normal speeds over gigabit ethernet, with reads faster than writes.

Laptop to PC (wifi - n)
Read – 70 mbps
Write – 70 mbps

-This indicates the normal speeds I should be getting over wifi(n). reads and writes are the same speed because of wifi max speed

Laptop to NAS (wifi – n)
Read – 35 mbps
Write – 70 mbps

-unexplained drop in read speeds when reading from NAS over wifi

Laptop to PC (powerline)
Read – 50 mbps
Write – 50 mbps

-This indicates the normal speeds I should be getting over powerline. reads and writes are the same speed because of powerline max speed

Laptop to NAS (powerline)
Read – 23 mbps
Write – 50 mbps

-unexplained drop in read speeds when reading from NAS over powerline
