SMB problem from 0.39, UPnP problem in 0.38 and 0.40, NAME(1) problem in all

By now AC68U with Merlin is a mess.

- SMB sees my WDTVLIVE (wifi) but most of the time I can't access it (wrong destination)

- My android DLNA (Bubble Upnp) doesn't see Asus library (is only seen when the service is started with Bubble opened).

- Restarting cause MEDIA(1) mount point to appear and I have to stop DLNA, delete Media and restart to return to only one media folder.

Waiting for a Tomato release, I'll try older Merlin firmware..

I have probably found the cause of DLNA malfunction.. maybe a modem router attached to asus..

Now I am on .38_2 with the fix to block SMB on WAN and I am quite happy.

DLNA now works well, SMB works well (a little slower than Tomato to discover devices on windows 7). Persist the problem of Mount point with (1) after restart and DLNA service on.

I still hope that Asus, with the help of Merlin will fix the firmware under every aspect.

But I'm very happy to know that we will have another option which is Tomato.
With my previous router WNR3500L Tomato was simply incredible for functions, stability and simplicity...

You can get around this problem by stopping the DLNA server before rebooting the router and then start the DLNA server manually after reboot. You don't need to delete any media. Yes, it is a pain in the neck but the workaround works.

OK.

I'll do so.

Very strange that It hasn't been fixed yet.. it should be simple like delaying DLNA startup or something similar.
