Situation:

- Laptop: Dell G3 3579 with Intel Wireless AC 9462 on Windows 10 (latest update)
https://www.dell.com/gh/p/g-series-15-3579-laptop/pd

- Router: RT-AC3100 running Merlin 384.8_alpha1-g9ac9c80d7, channel #149 (5GHz) & #6 (2.4GHz).

G3 laptop only sees the 2.4GHz broadcasts from the AC3100 but not the 5Ghz from the AC3100. Other devices in the house (HP laptops, Phones, iPad and Android tablets) don't have this problem.

Funny thing is that the G3 can connect easily to other 5Ghz network (channel #161) from a AC68U router running John's fork v36E4j9527

How do I go about fixing this?

Thank you!

P.S: Current AC3100 settings:

Hi,

try different channel under Wireless/General/Control channel

To achieve AC signal leave Wireless Mode on Auto, Channel Bandw. at 20/40/80 MHz, Extension Ch. on Auto. Also be aware, that you have to use WPA2-Personal with AES security (not TKIP!!!).

My Nexus 6P also did not "see" 5 GHz network, changing channel to 116 did the trick!

here is my setting, and it's default one.

While I understand some of the change such as airtime fairness, I am not sure the need for DTIM/Beacon interval/Modulation scheme.
I will maybe try to roll everything back to the original and change one at a time to see what might be causing issue.

I will also check if they have newer driver for the wifi card as well.

Thanks everyone. Resetting back to default setting seems to fix the problem
