I just wanted to say that i am new to this forum, i so apologize in advance for any mistakes, and im little ignorant when comes to understanding DNS
I have AX82U, i had host name resoloution working on it by default, and then when i installed Adguard home, after the installation i noticed that the hostname resoloution didnt work
Im trying to understand how adguard configuration works so i can fix this problem
when i initially had my host name resolution working on the router before the adguard installation, dns director was disabled, but nows its enabled since installing adguard home
my ignorant question is, does the dns director have to be enable for adguard to work properly. I assume if dns director is disabled, then my devices would just use the default ASUS dns servers without using ad guard? Or would the traffic go through adgaurd because its built into my router when dns director is turned off?
