[Solved] Modifying Openvpn setup manually will be overwritten at reboot?

Hi,
I generated keys for my openvpn server and I just wanted to copy the files in /etc/openvpn and change config manually, but will they be overwritten by whatever is in the UI?

I know there are certs in /jffs/openvpn that are the same (with different names) in /etc/openvpn.
Also I don't know what the /etc/openvpn/vpnserver1 is going to do.

Eventually I can manually copy paste content into the UI, and try which of the options correspond to the config I want to achieve, but I'd rather go manual on this.

Anybody can tell?

Are trying to modify the /jffs/* or the /etc/* files?

Only modifications to /jffs/* will survive a reboot, afaik.

Anything in /etc/ is dynamically generated at launch time inside RAM. The permanent location for OpenVPN certificates are in /jffs/ .

All settings however must be done through the webui, as these are stored in nvram.

As I suspected.
I'll have some trial and error then, especially for ta file, although there is some hmac setting

It worked.
One curious thing though:
- I added tls-auth, which filled automatically the static key field at next restart
- then I replaced it with mine (in GUI), but at reboot it was not there, I had to replace it directly in file
