I'm using an RT-N66 with Merlins firmware, 270.26b which has been very stable for me.
I have my main pc connected to the router via ethernet lead (cat 6), all my other devices are wireless, one pc, various android devices and ip cameras.
I have a hard drive connected to my router, i can stream films to all devices fine, on both pc's i have mapped the hard drive.
I use bitcomet to download my films, the target destination being the hard drive connected to the router.
The problem i get is sometimes i get the message in bitcomet "specified network path doesn't exist" and the download will stop. I say sometimes, sometimes in the middle of a download the download stops and i get a little red cross next to the download and the message, this can happen at any time during the download, maybe just after i start downloading or later during the download, sometimes this doesn't happen at all and the download completes. There's no set pattern.
If i download straight to the pc, onto a 2nd drive within the pc i don't get this problem.
I've tried different hard drives, one usb powered (500gb) and one desktop mains powered (500gb) so i don't think it's a hard drive problem.
I've also had the same problem when downloading with my wireless pc and downloading to a portable drive connected to that.
Can anyone enlighten me ? Paul.
