New Around Here
Hi everyone,

I do know there is a thread about this already but it's very old and no fix was found. Anyway, I recently bought a TP-LINK TL-WN823N USB Wireless Adapter for my PC.

It connects just fine and works for a while (sometimes over an hours sometimes 10 minutes) but then the orange star icon appears at the wireless bottom right hand corner. My SSID doesn't show in the list of connections but other networks show up. After perhaps 10-15 second my network appears and it auto connects. This has started to happen every 5-10 minutes or so now.

This doesn't happen for any other devices in my house (phones, laptop, tablet) which would point to my PC/wireless network adapter being the issue but it's only my network that disappears which would point to my router being the issue.

Another strange thing is when I try to connect to the router nothing happens when I click on login. After I refresh the page it won't load again. I then pinged the router and every 7-8 pings I get a 20-30ms response time instead of 1ms. Could this be an issue?

Single-band wireless network adapter wouldn't cause this surely?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

check the driver - and you didn't mention what OS is in use - if using Win10, there were some issues a while back with the Creator's update that was fixed in a patch release.
