New Around Here
Hi, I'm new to merlin, I have a Dark Knight RT-N66U and want multiple SSIDs as follows. The router runs in AP mode as my ISPs router also runs my telephone. not sure how I can change this?

2.4Ghz & 5Ghz Regular ISP
2.4Ghz & 5Ghz PPTP VPN
2.4Ghz Guest Network

Is this possible, I have seen a guide for OpenVPN, but to be honest, I need more guidance.

I currently have an old Linksys router running my PPTP VPN, but I would like it all running on the single router.

You can get most of what you want running the dual gateway software from Sabai Technology.

You won't be able to flash the firmware on your current N66U but will have to buy another router from them with the dual gateway already installed.

If you want to use your current router then you will need to create a set of rules and program your current hardware.

thanks, but I have the router, and a VPN provider so not really an option for me.
I am not networking expert, so forgive the dumb questions please!

I have to use my ISPs router, so therefore my Dark Knight is in AP mode. Is there any way to use it in router mode and be able to make use of more features? Or can all those features be accessed by scripting anyway? Once I go to AP mode, most features disappear.

Would turning of DHCP, and connecting via LAN port help or not?
I dont use my ISP routers WIFI, all is through the Dark Knight.

my ISP router has a bridge mode option, but I don't really understand what this does, would this pass control over to the second router?

my VPN can be either PPTP or L2TP if this helps.
