New Around Here
I just installed a Starlink system, sort of has to since I moved to live in the middle of nowhere Mexico. I had Infinitum and an ASUS router for my Surfshark VPN. That router died and I found out that Starlink router has no ethernet ports. I bought a Tenda AX3000 Nova mesh system and an Ethernet extender for the Starlink. That router is the main I connected the 3 nodes in different parts of the house and get excellent coverage of about 80 mtrs outside. Now I want to connect Surfshark for my TV since I would rather watch US TV since my Spanish is not good. OK I am looking at buying an Asus RT58U since it was recommended by Surfshark. Each Tenda node has 3 Ethernet ports. I use 2 near the computer. One connects to my computer and the other to an ethernet switch which connects to my NAS, Canon Printer. All is working as I expected. I am assuming (I know) that I should be able to connect the ASUS router to the ethernet switch, load the Surfshark software and be able to access the dashboard as I did pre Starlink and my TV will happily think it is up north. Is my thinking addled? I am not worried about speed since Starlink provides between 100 and 180 Mbs. Not a gamer except for solo games. Sorry for so wordy.
