Switches that allow the LEDs to be turned off

I'm looking for an 8 port switch that I can turn off the LEDs on as I plan to use it under my TV and I can't have the lights blinking while it is dark. Thanks.

Has a soft button on the back to turn off all LEDs until the next reboot.

The Linksys SE4008 does as well. AFAIK its the exact same unit as the SE2800 but with a different chassis and warranty.

when you have a bunch of hardware together the LEDs are cool at night.

You may want a switch with cables which plug in the back otherwise the LEDs will be facing the wall and you will be looking at the back of a switch. I bought an Cisco SG200-8 because the wires plug into the back to keep everything nice and neat.

just mount the switch backwards instead. I still dont see why you'd want a totally black view since the LEDs from various hardware i have stacked together look cool in the dark whether its a switch, router or some other device.

If you have a home theater and are trying to watch a movie it really sucks to have a bunch of blinking lights right under the TV. Especially when all the lights are off.

In my home theater TV room, I have a Monster HTPS 7000 power conditioner, a receiver, a Blu-ray player, a digital TV receiver with USB 3 hardrive, AppleTV, and a Cisco SG200-8 switch. They all have LED lights, none seem brighter than the rest so I don't notice the switch any more than the other devices. I just don't want all the cables in the front on a switch and I don't want to look at the back of a switch and power cord either.

just put a piece of cardboard infront of it. should cover the lights. Mikrotik routers have much brighter LED lights and not to mention their higher end ones have LCD touch screens on them. If thats too much than just stick small pieces of paper over the led lights.

The Sg300 series with the recent firmware has the option of turning off the LEDs. Only the power led is left on.

On the switches I have (SG300-10PP, SG300-28PP) the option is in both.
