Synology DS411+ and Synology DS412+

Hi All,

Sorry im new here.

I just wanted to know if the above 2 models are the same?

Is one newer?

I saw the review and the chart rating for DS411+. If I buy 412+ is this the same thing or are they completely different units?

I can find places here that sell both so just wondering which one I should consider.

I would like a 4-5 bay drive capable of high transfer speeds. Otherwise I was looking at the QNAP 459 range or 1512+.

looked on vendor's web site? Synology has a web page listing all their product models. And they as well as QNAP have on-line demos.

No signs of the 411+ (plus) model... so no idea...

The 411+ has its full specs listed here:

It was not on their main page because the 412+ is its direct replacement. Synology uses the last two numbers of the model to specify the year it was released.
