Hi,
I'm thinking of buying my first NAS but i'm doubting at the moment between 3 devices.
The 3 possible choises would be the Thecus N4200eco, Qnap TS-412 and Synology DS411.
I've got 2 2TB disks so it would be a 4 disk raid 5 setup.
The NAS would replace 2 pc's who are now used as fileserver and webserver.
The main reason is power consumption that would go down and having everything in the same place.
the NAS should therefore be able to run Sabnzdb, Sickbeard, Spotweb, Couchpotato, Headphones, Subsonic, Lazy Librarian, Marachino, a foto website and some joomla test websites.
Which of those 3 would be recommended for what i want to do?
I've already kind of ruled out the Qnap because of the lower memory and cpu.
What's the deal with extra packages on those devices? which has the best solutions and userbase for that?
Anyone who knows what the options are to expand it later?
I know the thecus is stackable through iscsi, can Synology do something similar?
Your advice is much appreciated
thx
Joost
