Good day,
So for the past while (+6 months maybe not too sure) every time I log on, I get "Configuration Lost" reinstall DSM.
Synology tech support said the flash is probably worn out, but I'm not sure I want to believe or accept that yet.
Roughly about 6 months ago I did change out the 640GB WD blacks for 2TB seagate Ironwolfs.
Also, I took out the old cmos battery (CR1220), it was 1.95V, and I just replaced it yesterday with a new one (maxell made in Japan) that gave me 3.26V, I logged on after 3 hours, no issues, but this morning, same thing, configuration lost.
From what I have read else where, other recommendations were to test the reset switch, but I don't think it would have logged on 3hours later if it was broken.
Other thing is to switch back to the WD blacks and try that out.
I'm wondering if anyone has other suggestions, perhaps any of the settings within DSM? The NAS is on a UPS also.
Thanks
