How to get temperature for iMesh nodes? Is it possible to add node temperature to page in UI?

I assume you just log into the node and look at the Tools - System Information page as normal.
It is not possible to log in the node, it always log in master or usb applications page

you can install scmerlin on it and check the temp that way.

SSH into the node and run:

Code:
cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp

I tried it and webUI does not work on node. The script works fine, but the webui redirects to the master

It worked for me. You have to be logged into the node for it to work, though.

I SSH in using the local address and port number, log in with my credentials and run amtm. Since it is hidden you have to look for the node address under aimesh settings. Or that's one way you can find it

I connected to router with SSH. Install scmerlin, run amtm and select theme. Next I try to open http://192.168.0.77/user1.asp (mesh node addr) in Safari. Opened page show me some message (very short time, can't reed it) and redirect me to 192.168.0.1.
May be you start modified version of http demon on node?

dlukanidin,
Would info in this link be useful?

I have 2 Asus RT-AC86U (year mid-2020) that become quite hot, that is how I monitor temperature for my AiMesh Router and AiMesh Nodes. I have since bought 2 fan (recommend by a fellow forum member here) that attaches nicely to the back of both these Routers. it is cool now.

Thank you for your sample. It is easy to monitor teperature with CLI. But I search a way to monitor node temperature from master WEBUI. Now I try to execute SSH command to node from CLI on master, but have some difficalties with auth. Node has the same key as master, but this key was created from Workstation and can not be used with SSH to node from master SSH session. Input of the password require keyboard or installation 3-d party program, entware, usb flash...
I don’t know how to do it right yet.

dlukanidin,
Not sure if I understand you.
This is what I do:
  • On the AiMesh Router, you can find out what is the IP Addresses of all you AiMesh Nodes. For me I fixed my IP address of all my AiMesh Nodes, by defining it in the DHCP List using their respective MAC Addresses.
  • I than SSH to each of these nodes one at a time
  • Login with the same Admin ID & password as your AiMesh Router
  • For each node follow the suggestion in my previous post to query the temperature
I normally run with Merlin's Firmware, However, my current AiMesh Router is running ASUS Beta RC3-2 Firmware just to participate in the testing, so, I do not have any 3rd party program, entware, etc. Hope you find you solution.

As temporary solution:
1. Copy to each node "/jffs/scripts" script "temperature.sh"
2. Tune SSH auth with SSH Authentication key on master
3. Desirable: static IP for each node
4. Turn on Web server on WS and configure it
5. Edit index.php with actual ip node addresses
5. Copy index.php to user folder where Web server start to search pages
6. Open http://localhost or something else as configured
7. Ubdate page by button
