I received excellent advice here on upgrading my home network and wanted to say a big THANKS!
I got my new Arris SB8200 modem a couple of days ago and the Asus AC86U today. The setup was simple, I cloned my old network credentials and boom - it's blazing!
I was a bit hesitant not going with a mesh network solution, but the 86U covers even the furthest reaches of my house, where my N66U either struggled or didn't deliver at all. In the main areas of the house I get 550mbps of the 600mbps source!

I am actually sitting here getting 600mbps+ down, one floor away!
