New Around Here
Hello All,
I am new here, *if thats not obvious*, I have been reading about all the different NAS' that are on the NAS charts, .... there just seems to be too many to choose from, I am looking for some advice/direction on what I should spend my money on....
I am looking for a NAS: (there are the specs I am pretty sure I want)
-dual drive 1TB x 2 mirrored (this will give me room to grow even from my current situation)
-gigabit Ethernet
-not sure if I need jumbo frames or not..(?)
-FTP
-ability to stream mp3 audio and avi video to multiple devices.
Currently I have a broadband Comcast cable connection to my house, and a Linksys cable modem, and wireless G wireless router, I am not opposed to having to upgrade any of this hardware, but not sure if I need to or not..
Any suggestions for a certain NAS / network configuration??
If possible I would like to stay within the $400 - $700 range ..
Thanks in advance!
