Hi,

I am not successful in setting up a correct primary NTP server to get the time right in this access point.
Is there somebody who is successful?
Which IP-address do you use?

Synchronizing manually with the PC is working OK. But I power off the EAP330 every evening which causes the clock to start with a strange time upon power on.

what NTP server do the other APs and RTrs point to ?
Are you blocking internet access for this AP ?

Router R7800 : Default NetGear NTP server :(, no further information available
I tried several NTP addresses: 193.78.240.12, 193.79.237.14, 72.251.251.11, 131.211.8.244, 213.132.202.192: no success!

need to have a current tzdata file, and define the timezone one is currently in...

Here's one ntp.conf...

Code:
$ cat /etc/ntp.conf
driftfile /var/lib/ntp/ntp.drift
leapfile /usr/share/zoneinfo/leap-seconds.list
# Specify one or more NTP servers.
server 0.ubuntu.pool.ntp.org
server 1.ubuntu.pool.ntp.org
server 2.ubuntu.pool.ntp.org
server 3.ubuntu.pool.ntp.org
server ntp.ubuntu.com
restrict -4 default kod notrap nomodify nopeer noquery limited
restrict -6 default kod notrap nomodify nopeer noquery limited
restrict 127.0.0.1
restrict ::1
restrict source notrap nomodify noquery

Which results in this...

Code:
$ ntpq -p
    remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter

Anyways - check around the forums - more than a couple of threads around this topic...

That was the first thing I did. For days ..... .
Time setting on the AP is only interesting for the logfile, so no big deal. But it should work in one way or the other. I'll dig further into it.

I think if you go to the nist ntp time site you can get the resolved addresses. You will lose the access when they take a server down occasionally, but it usually comes back.
