New Around Here
Hi There,

Just wondering if anyone can help me.
I've recently purchased the RT-AC3200 and installed Merlin on it. I'm very happy with this combination, and it's successfully been able to replace a HP MicroServer running pfSense.

However, I've noticed that the traffic analyzer doesn't seem to work correctly. It appears to be counting the number of bytes correctly, but the upload and download counts are transposed. To prove this, I played a video on YouTube from my iPad Air for about 30 minutes. At the end of this, I checked the Traffic Analyzer, and it showed that the iPad had uploaded 1.14GB, and downloaded 3.41MB. This is clearly incorrect, as I suspect it downloaded 1.14GB and uploaded 3.41MB.

The same transposition appears to occur for all devices on my network.

Has anyone else seen this? Is it a known problem (searching the forum seems to bring up similar issues, but not the same as this one)? Is there a fix?

I currently have NAT acceleration disabled, as I read in another thread that the counts are incorrect if it's switched on. Is this still true for the 380.59 firmware?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Andy.

For me i needed to switch it back on since upgrade to 380.59. Afterwards the counting worked fine (before download and upload was the same). And i do have disabled QoS as it interfers there too somehow (Asus Issue).

Thanks for that. I've done some more playing with it, and it seems to have resolved itself now.
I've also turned the NAT acceleration back on, as another thread mentioned that this is required for it to work correctly.
There seems to be conflicting information on that part, but the comments for 380.59 seem to indicate that it's more accurate with acceleration on.
