I'm using Merlin FW 3.0.0.4.374.32_0 on my AC66U I'm noticing some strange behaviour in the traffic monitor.
I have a local HTTP server connected by wire, listening only on static IP 192.168.1.100:8080. I have an Android tablet connected by 5Ghz wireless with automatically assigned IP 192.168.1.104.
Using various video players (e.g. MX Player, VLC) on my Android tablet, I stream a 1080p video from
http://192.168.1.100:8080/mysample.avi
The video streams perfectly.
When I view traffic monitor, it shows heavy traffic - up to 3000KB/s going TO wireless, as expected. However, it shows only about 1/3rd of that, or up to 1000KB/s coming from wire, the remaining 2/3rds is shown as coming from Internet.
This is very odd, because everything is local. If I disconnect the Internet cable, the video continues playing, and the traffic monitor remains the same, still indicating very heavy Internet traffic, which obviously can't be. Various players and videos result in exactly the same behaviour. I've tried turning the F/W off and that has no effect either.
So, is this a bug or am I misinterpreting something?
