Traffic monitor - WAN and Wired messed up

Hello,
i have a Asus rt-ac68u running latest 376.48.1 firmware.
i have both wired and wireless devices connected throw it. i have a network camera using wireless and is sending the feed to wired computer. looking at the trafficmonitor there is no traffic on wired put a lot on Primary WAN.
I think there is a misconfiguration in traffic monitor - can i change the configuration of traffic monitor by myself?

if i turned on IPTraffic also then the traffic is shown correctly ! strange

I have been trying to make sense out of what I was seeing along these lines myself. When I initiate a download or bandwidth test from a device connected to the LAN/WIRED port(s), I see the WAN/Internet port traffic increase as expected, but nothing on the WIRED network monitor. The other oddity, is that the WAN/Internet TX and RX traffic goes up almost equally which makes no sense to me. I would expect to see the RX go up, but not the TX, unless of course I was uploading data to the internet. One possibly unique aspect of my configuration is that I have a single Ethernet cable from one LAN port connected to a switch which all my other devices are connected to.

If I enable IPTraffic (per IP monitoring), the traffic seems to graph as I would expect on both WAN and LAN. I then disabled IPTraffic, and the traffic still graphed as expected. Then I rebooted (w/ IPTraffic disabled), and it returned to the original behavior I described in my previous post.

What you are observing is the result of disabling NAT acceleration, which is most likely the reason for your issues. When IPTraffic is enabled, NAT acceleration gets disabled. If you re-enable IPTraffic, NAT acceleration is still disabled, until the next reboot.

Thanks for that information, I will try to disable NAT Acceleration and see how it affects my graphing. Also, thanks for the great firmware options.

Confirmed, disabling NAT Acceleration did indeed "fix" the Traffic Monitoring issue. Is there any possibility that Traffic Monitoring would be able to work correctly with NAT Acceleration enabled, or is that impossible due to the way NAT Acceleration works? I chose to keep the setting enabled as I saw CPU usage over double when doing the same bandwidth test as with it disabled. Thanks again for your help.

NAT acceleration is closed source, only Broadcom knows how it works (even Asus does not get access to that source code).
