New Around Here
Hi guys,

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I'm going out of my mind trying to locate the above as a spare. I bought a second hand server and the I/O shield was missing, I'm a little OCD so have to replace it! I've googled it till I'm blue in the face and no joy on eBay either.

Anyone got any ideas? I only want one, not a pack of 50 as well ;)

I have bought Intel Server parts from:

http://www.serversupply.com

They don't list the backplate on their web site, but calling them might be fruitful.

The other option, which has worked for me more than once, is to buy some spongy thermal sealing tape, double it over and using an exacto knife cut to fit the case, and then cut port holes to match your motherboard. The Aluminumized coating is conductive, and seals the case as well as the true I/O plate. It isn't as pretty as the real deal, but works just as well.

Hope that helps

I don't know if you still need this, but this looks like time for a trip to the craft store to buy a piece of aluminum and get out the Dremel tool :D

It appears these are only sold in 50-packs :(
