hey guys i was wondering if anybody can help me set this router with latest asus firmware.so i got the T-Mobile Asus TM-AC1900 from ebay new. i downgraded to 3004 376 1703.i'm stuck at automatic detailed instructions.i followed these guides from slickdeals.i uploaded picture with error.
  • i get error when i press enter >>>Run the program by typing cfe.exe <Enter>
cfe version on router atm 2122

Do not SSH into your router for running cfe.exe.... You should run cfe.exe in Windows and then upload the new CFE to your router.. As mentioned in these guides use caution while changing the CFE otherwise it might brick the router.

thanks for reply.i did the copy n paste mac address thing by following video.all is good now.these are the next steps i did.trying to get latest asus firmware on the router.i did the recover mode then i used asus restoration app to do the flashing.

1.installed asus 376.3626
2. merlin 3.0.0.4_376.47_0
3.asus 3.0.0.4.380.3831<<<upload failed
4.asus 376.3626<<<reloaded this one again
5.asus 3.0.0.4.380.3831<<<<i get upload failed again with this fw
 
Try loading the latest firmware from the Web GUI( Administration -->Upgrade firmware) instead of recovery mode.

thanks that did it.i have latest firmware on asus ac 68u.about to replace a archer c5 which has been rock solid.let's see if this asus router is same or better.*crossing fingers* did save myself $50 from buying the non tmobile router but at a cost lol.hours of watching video and reading lol.
