We have a half dozen videographers scattered around the globe who have networks in their homes/offices for editing & post-production. Most have 3 to 7 Win PC's and a few Mac's. I've given each a ReadyNAS or 3200. I'm trying to help with performance and security.
Running speedtest.net they'll see 10-16Mb/s on XP and 7, but 4Mb/s on 2k. I'm hoping I can improve the 2k performance.
So..., looking for a reliable tuner / registry cleaner that I can have them run. Ideally something that will run on Win2k, XP, and 7. Most immediate need is improved performance, particularly for Win2k machines. I'm guessing the receive windows need to be opened up, but not sure what else or if it will even be possible to help these older machines.
Any advice or recommendations appreciated.
