Everytime I look up how to do something basic on Ubuntu as I am trying to set things up, all I can find is some instruction on how to do it via terminal or a shell script. Does everyone just post terminal code because of their Linux-user belief of the superiority of console (yes I have heard all the arguments, and I don't doubt them, I just don't care nearly enough to learn them. It's 2009, I use a GUI. If I wanted to type everything I'd reinstall DOS)...
Anyway, is it possible to do simple things like change the MTU for my jumbo frame size in Ubuntu using a GUI, or kill the window manager, etc.? Or do I really have to use the terminal code for that?
