Hi guys!

Just flashed this firmware on my RT-AC66U in hopes of solving an issue I'm having.
While downloading and my connection is maxed out at ~11.3 MB/s It's impossible to connect to the router. It just says "loading"

If I try to surf the web I get this error

This site can’t be reached

www.google.se’s server DNS address could not be found.

Not being able to surf I can understand if the connection is maxed. Not be able to reach the router over the LAN, not so much =/

Any ideas? I'm aware this could be an OS/NIC issue as well. But I thought I start here.

UPDATE!
Problem resolved.

I was updating this post and it got me thinking. How come I get "DNS address could not be found." When my internet connection is maxed out ... Then I recall somewith I've just read about NAT and DNS. So started looking for settings and found "NAT Loopback" http://192.168.1.1/Advanced_BasicFirewall_Content.asp which isen't present in the Default firmware. Anyways, I set it to Merlin, all it good with the world.

Many thanks Merlin for this firmware.
If anyone could explain more technically what was the issue, I would appreciate it.

When you say downloading up to 100% do you mean torrenting somehow?
AC66U is more than capable to deal with 100mbps connection.
But I wonder if you're not putting the CPU all the way to 100% by opening a huge number of connections. Like when downloading/seeding torrents.

The source don't mather, could be torrenting or other. At the moment I'm downloading the free game this weekend from uplay. So at first I thought it was the Uplay client. But I then tried downloading from Usenet with the same result. When my connection is maxed out (~11.3 MB/s) might be better to say, I cannot reach the LAN. And like you say, both the router and the NIC can handle Gbit traffic. I cannot see the load on the router at max speed as I cannot research it =) is there a history log or such I can view perhaps?
